Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of semaglutide combined with Qianlieantong in elderly pa-tients with diabetes mellitus and prostatic hyperplasia.Methods A total of seventy-four elderly patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with prostatic hyperplasia admitted to Zhucheng People's Hospital from May 2022 to November 2023 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into two groups with thirty-seven cases each by envelope method.Both groups were treated with conventional methods,the control group was treated with Dulaglutide injection,and the observation group was treated with semaglutide.Blood glucose level,urine flow dynamics and drug safety were compared between the two groups.Results After the intervention,the blood glucose levels of both groups were de-creased,and the fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin A1c levels of in the observation group were lower than those of the control group,the difference were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After the intervention,the international prostate symptom score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the maximum urine flow rate was higher than that of the control group,the difference were sta-tistically significant(both P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Semaglutide combined with Qianlieantong is used in elderly patients with diabe-tes mellitus complicated with prostatic hyperplasia.It can reduce the blood glucose level of patients,help improve the hemodynamic level of patients,and the drug has high safety.
