Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of insulin aspartate combined with insulin detemir in the treat-ment of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)and its influence on glucose metabolism. Methods A total of eighty-two GDM patients admitted to Jurong Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Jiangsu Province from January 2022 to Janu-ary 2024 were selected as the study objects and divided into two groups with forty-one cases each by envelope method. The reference group was treated with insulin aspartate, and the observation group was treated with insulin as-partate combined with insulin detemir. The clinical efficacy, improvement of blood glucose index and overall inci-dence of adverse pregnancy outcome were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of obser-vation group was higher than that of reference group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in blood glucose level between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).At the end of pregnancy, blood glucose levels in both groups were lower than before treatment, and observation group was lower than reference group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse preg-nancy outcomes in the observation group was lower than that in the reference group, and the difference was statisti-cally significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of GDM,insulin aspartate is used as the basis, insulin detemir is added to the treatment, the effect is better, the level of glucose metabolism is improved, and the risk of adverse preg-nancy outcome is lower.
