Objective To investigate the effect of Shenqi Jiangtang granules and sitagliptin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods A total of eighty-eight T2DM patients admitted to Nan'an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into two groups ac-cording to random number table method,with forty-four patients in each group.The control group was treated with conventional treatment+sitagliptin,and the observation group was treated with Shenqi Jiangtang granules based on the treatment content of the control group.The therapeutic effect,tradition Chinese medicine syndrome score and islet cell function were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the tradition Chinese medicine syndrome scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Fasting insulin level and insulin resistance index in observa-tion group were lower than those in control group,and islet β cell function index was higher than those in control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of Shenqi Jiangtang granules and sitagliptin in the treatment of T2DM can better reduce the tradition Chinese medicine syndrome score,improve the function of islet cells,and help to improve the overall curative effect.
