Objective To analyze the effects of insulin aspartate(Novolin)and biosynthetic human insulin(Novolin R)in the treatment of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).Methods A total of eighty-two GDM patients admitted to the obstetrics department of Jiexi County People's Hospital of Guangdong Province from March 2020 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into control group(treated with Novolin R)and study group(treated with Novolin)according to random sampling method, with forty-one cases each. The changes of blood glucose, the time of blood glucose standard, the total amount of daily insulin and the pregnancy outcome were compared be-tween the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in the changes of blood glucose between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of glycated hemoglobin A1c and 2-hour postprandial plasma glucose in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(both P<0.05).There was no significant difference in fasting plasma glucose between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).The blood glucose standard time of the study group was shorter than that of the control group, and the total daily insulin was less than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The incidence of low birth weight infants and premature birth in the study group was lower than that in the con-trol group, and the difference was statistically significant(both P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the inci-dence of fetal distress between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with biosynthetic human insulin,insu-lin aspartate is more effective in controlling postprandial blood glucose in GDM patients, and the time required to reach blood glucose level is shorter and the amount of insulin is less, which is conducive to improving maternal and in-fant outcomes.
