Clinical Effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine Fasting without Hunger Therapy on Obesity-type 2 Diabetes Mellitus(T2DM)with Spleen Defi-ciency and Phlegm Turbidness
Objective To analyze the application value of traditional Chinese medicine fasting without hunger therapy on the type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 100 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)with spleen de-ficiency and phlegm turbidness condition admitted to the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Dalang Hos-pital of Dongguan City in Guangdong Province from January 2022 to August 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into two groups according to random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group treated with conventional Western medicine, and the observation group combined with fasting without hunger therapy of traditional Chinese medicine. The efficacy, incidence of adverse reactions, blood glucose indexes and weight changes were compared between the two groups. Results The total treatment effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no signifi-cant difference in total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the blood glu-cose index and body weight of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion Adding traditional chinese medicine fasting without hunger therapy on the basis of Western medicine can improve the blood glucose index and body mass of patients, with high ef-ficacy and safety.
