Objective To study the effects of dapagliflozin combined with insulin on blood glucose level and blood glu-cose fluctuation in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods A total of 130 patients with type 2 diabetes melli-tus admitted to Jingmen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects.The patients were divided into control group and study group with 65 cases in each group.The con-trol group was treated with insulin,and the study group was treated with dapagliflozin on the basis of control group.Blood glucose index,blood glucose fluctuation index before and after treatment and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results Fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose and glyco-sylated hemoglobin A1c in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statisti-cally significant(all P<0.05).The maximum blood glucose fluctuation amplitude,postprandial blood glucose fluctua-tion amplitude,standard deviation of blood glucose level and average absolute difference of daytime blood glucose in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(9.23%vs 9.23%)(χ2=0.000,P=1.000).Conclusion The hypoglycemic treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with daga-glipzin combined with insulin is helpful to reduce blood glucose level,reduce blood glucose fluctuation,and reduce adverse reactions.
