Objective To study the application effect of the multidisciplinary team(MDT)nursing mode led by special-ized nurses in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 200 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus ad-mitted to Sishui County People's Hospital from January to December 2022 were selected as the study subjects.Ac-cording to the different nursing methods, they were divided into two groups. The observation group(n=101)was given MDT nursing mode led by specialized nurses, while the control group(n=99)received general nursing for diabetes mellitus. The changes of blood glucose and self-management behavior of diabetic patients before and after nursing were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing, the fasting blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin A1c in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).After nursing, the scores of 4 dimensions of Self Management Behavior Scale for Diabetes Patients in the observation group were significantly higher than that in the control group, and the differences were sta-tistically significant(all P<0.001).Conclusion The MDT nursing mode led by specialized nurses is beneficial for alle-viating the patient's blood glucose control level and improving their self-management ability.
