Objective To explore the clinical effect of combined acupuncture and moxibustion therapy for diabetes pa-tients.Methods Sixty patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus treated in Tai'erzhuang District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2020 to August 2022 were selected as the study objects,and they were divided into control group(routine life adjustment and Western medicine of blood glucose control treatment)and observation group(combined with acupuncture and moxibustion treatment on the basis of control group)by random number table method,with 30 cases in each group.Blood glucose index and insulin function were compared between the two groups.Results Before intervention,there were no significant differences in fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postpran-dial plasma glucose and glycated hemoglobin A1c between the two groups(all P>0.05).After intervention,the above indexes decreased in both groups,and the observation group was lower than the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After intervention,the insulin indexes of both groups were improved,and the observation group was better than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion On the basis of conventional Western medicine blood glucose control treatment,combined traditional Chi-nese medicine acupuncture and moxibustion measures have satisfactory results on condition control.
