Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of intensive blood glucose control on patients with pulmonary tuberculosis complicated with diabetes. Methods A total of 68 patients with tuberculosis combined with diabetes ad-mitted to Suqian Infectious Disease Hospital from December 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study ob-jects,and they were divided into control group(34 cases)and research group(34 cases)according to odd-even method. The control group received conventional treatment, and the study group received intensive blood glucose con-trol.The total effective rate, the incidence of adverse reactions, blood glucose index, islet function and blood glucose variability index were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant differ-ence in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin levels in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and insulin secretion index was higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(all P<0.05).The fasting blood glucose variation coefficient, the standard deviation of blood glucose through-out the day and the maximum fluctuation range of blood glucose in the study group were lower than those in the con-trol group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Intensive blood glucose control program has significant clinical effect on pulmonary tuberculosis complicated with diabetes and less adverse reactions, and has clinical application value.
