Effect of Evidence-based Nursing on Blood Glucose Management and Post-operative Complications in Elderly Patients with Femoral Neck Fracture Complicated with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Objective To observe the effect of evidence-based nursing on blood glucose management and postopera-tive complications in elderly patients with femoral neck fracture complicated with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods The clinical data of 78 elderly patients with femoral neck fracture combined with type 2 diabetes mellitus who were admitted to the Department of Joint Surgery and Emergency Department of Shandong Guoxin Yiyang Group Zaozhuang Central Hospital from July 2020 to June 2022 were retrospectively selected.According to the different nursing meth-ods,they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 39 cases in each group. The blood glu-cose levels(fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postprandial plasma glucose),the incidence of complications(hypother-mia,lower extremity venous thrombosis, hypoglycemia, pressure injury)and nursing satisfaction were compared be-tween the two groups. Results After nursing, the blood glucose levels of the observation group were better than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction of patients in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Evidence-based nursing is beneficial to control the blood glucose level of patients, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, and patients have higher satisfaction with nursing.
