Objective To investigate the effect of the application of Shaoyin Yiqi Tongmai Decoction in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).Methods From June 2023 to January 2024,a total of 72 DPN patients who were admitted to the department of Endocrinology of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture Korean Medical Hospi-tal were selected as the research objects.According to different treatment methods,they were divided into control group(conventional glucose control treatment measures combined with methylcobalamin tablets and epalrestat treat-ment)and treatment group(Shaoyin Yiqi Tongmai decoction treatment on the basis of the control group),36 cases in each group.The Toronto Clinical Scoring System(TCSS)score,glucose metabolism index(fasting blood glucose,gly-cated hemoglobin A1c),limb current sensory threshold,syndrome score(limbs are not warm,scaly skin,bones and muscles are painful,Numb,walking is difficult,pulse is slow or pulse string is fine and astringent)were compared be-tween the two groups before and after 4 weeks of treatment.Results After 4 weeks of treatment,the TCSS score,glu-cose metabolism index and limb current sensation thresholds in the treatment group were better than those in the con-trol group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,the syndrome score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The addition of Shaoyin Yiqi Tongmai decoction in the treatment of DPN patients can improve the glucose metabolism index,limb current sensory thresholds and symptom score.
