Objective To explore the effect of systematic emergency treatment in the treatment of diabetes mellitus(DM)patients with hypoglycemic coma. Methods A total of 116 DM patients with hypoglycemic coma admitted to Changle District People's Hospital of Fuzhou from July 2021 to July 2023 were selected and divided into study group(n=58)and control group(n=58)by different treatment methods. The control group received routine emergency treat-ment,while the study group received systematic emergency treatment. The blood glucose levels(fasting plasma glu-cose,2-hour postprandial plasma glucose),treatment time, recovery time, and prognosis(emergency mortality,hypo-glycemia recurrence rate,re-coma rate)were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, all blood glu-cose levels in the two groups were increased, and the study group was higher than the control group, and the differ-ences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The treatment and recovery time of the study group was shorter than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The recurrence rate of hypo-glycemia and recurrent coma rate of the study group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Systematic emergency treatment can effectively control blood sugar levels, reduce treatment time, improve prognosis in the treatment of diabetic hypoglycemic coma patients.
