Effects of Low Frequency Hemoperfusion Combined with Hemodialysis on Renal Function and Blood Glucose in Patients with Diabetes Mellitus and Chronic Renal Failure
Objective To analyze the efficacy of low frequency hemoperfusion combined with hemodialysis in patients with diabetes mellitus and chronic renal failure. Methods The clinical data of 94 patients of diabetes mellitus and chronic renal failure admitted to Quanzhou First Hospital from March 2023 to March 2024 were retrospectively se-lected.According to the different treatment methods, they were divided into control group(47 cases, treated with simple hemodialysis)and observation group(47 cases, treated with low frequency hemoperfusion combined with hemo-dialysis).The blood glucose indexes(fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postprandial plasma glucose, glycated hemoglo-bin A1c),islet function indexes(insulin resistance index, islet β cell function index),renal function indexes(24 h urine protein quantitative, serum creatinine, urea nitrogen),and adverse reactions(malnutrition, skin pruritus, nausea and vomiting)were compared between the two groups. Results The levels of fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postpran-dial plasma glucose and glycated hemoglobin A1c in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The islet function of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The renal function in-dexes of the observation group were better than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the control group was higher than that in the observation group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of low frequency hemo-perfusion and hemodialysis has good advantages for diabetic patients with chronic renal failure, which can effectively improve the blood glucose level and renal function of patients.
