Objective To explore the effect of continuous nursing on the prevention of infection in patients with dia-betic foot. Methods A total of 90 patients with diabetic foot admitted to Xianggong Central Hospital of Yihe New Dis-trict from May 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and ob-servation group by different nursing methods,45 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given continuous nursing. The blood glucose indexes(fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose),self-management efficacy, exercise, blood glucose monitoring, foot care)and the inci-dence of diabetic foot infection were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing, the fasting plasma glu-cose and 2-hour postprandial plasma glucose in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).After nursing, the scores of diet, exercise, blood glucose monitoring and foot self-management ability in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The incidence of diabetic foot complicated with infection in the observation group was 4.44%,which was significantly lower than 17.78%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.505,P<0.05).Conclusion Continuous nursing for patients with diabetic foot is con-ducive to better control of blood glucose indicators, improve patients'self-management ability, and reduce the inci-dence of infection.
