Objective To explore the application value of refined nursing in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes and severe pneumonia.Methods A total of 144 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with severe pneumonia admitted to Jianhu People's Hospital from February 2022 to November 2023 were selected as the research objects.They were divided into two groups by different nursing methods,with 72 cases in each group.The control group was treated with routine nursing,and the study group was treated with refined nursing.The levels of fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2-hour postprandial plasma glucose(2 hPG),negative emotion scores(Hamilton Anxiety Scale,Hamilton Depression Scale)and complications(hypoglycemia,stress injury,lower extremity venous thrombosis,infec-tion)were compared between the two groups.Results After 3 months of intervention,the levels of FPG and 2 hPG in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The negative emotion scores of the study group were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Refined nursing can improve the blood glucose level and negative emotion of diabetic patients with severe pneumonia,and help to reduce the inci-dence of complications.
