Objective To analyze the application of color Doppler ultrasound in lower extremity arterial disease of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 42 patients with type 2 diabetic mellitus lower extremity arterial disease(observation group)and 42 healthy people(control group)who underwent physical examination in Juxian People's Hos-pital from May 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the research objects. All subjects were examined by color Doppler ultrasound. The differences of ultrasound parameters between the two groups and patients with different degrees of lower extremity arterial disease were compared. Results The arterial diameters of each part in the observation group were smaller than those in the control group, the peak systolic velocity were higher than those of the control group, the blood flow of common femoral artery and popliteal artery were higher than those of the control group, and the blood flow of dorsalis pedis artery was lower than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The arterial diameters of each part in the severe lesion group were smaller than those of the other two groups, the peak systolic velocity were higher than those of the mild and moderate lesion groups, the blood flow of the common femoral artery and popliteal artery were higher than those in the mild and moderate lesion groups, and the blood flow of the dorsalis pedis artery was lower than that in the mild and moderate lesion groups, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasound has significant clinical application value in lower extremity arterial disease of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
