Objective To investigate the effect of multi-wavelength laser combined with triamcinolone acetonide in patients with diabetic macular edema. Methods A total of 94 patients with diabetic macular edema admitted to Zhucheng People's Hospital from June 2021 to September 2023 were selected and divided into two groups with 47 cases each according to different treatment methods. Both groups were treated with internal boundary membrane strip-ping,the control group was treated with triamcinolone and the observation group was treated with multi-wavelength la-ser therapy on the basis of the control group. Both groups completed 12 weeks of intervention, and the blood glucose level, retinal thickness, optimal corrected visual acuity,IOP level and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the blood glucose levels of the two groups decreased, and those in the observation group were lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Af-ter intervention, the retinal thickness and IOP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the best corrected visual acuity was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).The incidence of adrerse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Multi-wavelength laser combined with triamcinolone acetonide in patients with diabetic macular edema can reduce the level of retinal thickness, improve their best corrected visual acuity, help to reduce the blood glucose level of patients, and do not increase the incidence of adverse reactions.
