Objective To explore the effects of tibial periosteal distraction on blood flow and postoperative complica-tions in diabetic foot patients. Methods Eighty cases of diabetic foot patients with Wagner grade 2 to 4 who were ad-mitted to Youxian People's Hospital from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected as research objects.According to dif-ferent treatment methods, they were divided into control group(n=40)and study group(n=40).The control group was treated with routine debridement and negative pressure drainage. The study group was treated with tibial periosteal distraction. The blood flow of affected limb(arterial blood flow and arterial resistance),toe blood oxygen saturation, foot temperature and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups after treatment. Results After treatment, the arterial blood flow, the toe blood oxygen saturation and the foot temperature of the affected limb in the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the arterial resistance was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total inci-dence of postoperative complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Tibial periosteal distraction can ef-fectively improve the blood flow of diabetic foot patients, increase the toe blood oxygen saturation and foot tempera-ture,and the incidence of postoperative complications is low.
