Diabetes peripheral neuropathy(DPN)is a common chronic complication of diabetes mellitus,which is characterized by numbness,pain,sense of displacement,abnormal sense of pain and temperature at the end of the limb from far to near,and can lead to foot ulcer or even amputation in severe cases.The pathogenesis of DPN is com-plex and diverse,often related to high blood glucose,inflammatory immune response,oxidative stress,and organelle related mechanisms.This article will review the pathogenesis of DPN by referring to relevant literature at home and abroad,hoping to provide new ideas for its prevention and treatment.
