Objective To investigate the effect of laparoscopic jejunoileal side-to-side anastomosis on glucose and lipid metabolism in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods A total of 88 patients with T2DM admit-ted to Shanghai Jiading District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from August 2021 to November 2023 were se-lected as the research objects and divided into two groups according to different treatment methods, with 44 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional hypoglycemic drugs, and the observation group was treated with laparoscopic jejunoileal side-to-side anastomosis on the basis of the control group. The Control compli-ance rate of the blood glucose and weight, glucose and lipid metabolism levels[fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2-hour postprandial plasma glucose(2 hPG),triglycerides(TG),total cholesterol(TC)],serum glucagon-like peptide-1(GLP-1),fasting insulin(FINS)levels were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the control compli-ance rate of the blood glucose and weight of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The levels of 2 hPG、FPG、TG and TC in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of GLP-1 and FINS in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion Laparoscopic jejunoileal side-to-side anastomosis is effective in patients with type 2 diabetes. It can not only improve glucose and lipid metabolism, but also regulate in-sulin secretion.
