Objective To analyze the effect of sitagliptin combined with atorvastatin calcium on blood lipid and blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods The clinical data of 90 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus admitted to Siming Branch of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from January 2022 to January 2023 were retrospectively selected and divided into two groups according to different medication methods,45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with metformin+atorvastatin calcium. The observation group was treated with metformin and atorvastatin combined with sitagliptin. The blood glucose level(fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postprandial plasma glucose, glycated hemoglobin A1c),blood lipid level(high density lipoprotein cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglyceride and total cholesterol)and clinical efficacy of the two groups were com-pared.Results After treatment, the levels of blood glucose and blood lipid in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The total effective rate of clinical treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statisti-cally significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of sitagliptin and atorvastatin calcium in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus during clinical treatment has a synergistic effect, effectively regulating blood glucose levels and blood lipid indicators, and the total effective rate of treatment is higher.
