Objective To explore the value of smeglutide in the adjuvant treatment of diabetes mellitus with Hashi-moto's thyroiditis with osteotnol. Methods A total of 90 diabetic patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis admitted to Jiexi County People's Hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into study group(n=45,conventional Hashimoto's thyroiditis treat-ment+calcitriol+semeglutide)and control group(n=45,conventional Hashimoto's thyroiditis treatment+calcitriol+metformin). The differences in blood glucose(Fasting blood glucose,2 h postprandial blood glucose, glycosylated he-moglobin A1c)and insulin indexes(homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance, homeostatic model assess-ment of β-cell function,HOMA-β)were compared between two groups. Results Before treatment, there was no sig-nificant difference in blood glucose and insulin between the two groups(all P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of all indexes in the study group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion In clinical practice, when diabetes mellitus is accompanied by Hashimoto's thyroiditis, the value of smeglutide treatment is ideal, which can significantly improve blood glucose and insulin secretion, and en-hance the overall clinical treatment effect.
