Objective To explore the application effect of emergency risk management in emergency treatment of dia-betic patients with hyperosmolar coma. Methods A total of 56 patients with diabetic hyperosmolar coma admitted to Wuxi Huishan District People's Hospital from January 2021 to October 2023 were selected as the study subjects.Ac-cording to different nursing methods, the patients were divided into control group(receiving routine intervention)and observation group(implementing emergency risk management intervention),with 28 cases in each group. The blood glucose fluctuation(the highest value of blood glucose, the lowest value of blood glucose, the fluctuation difference),nursing satisfaction and quality of life(physiological function, social function, psychological function, life ability)scores were compared between the two groups. Results The highest blood glucose value of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the lowest blood glucose value was higher than that of the control group, and the blood glucose fluctuation differences was smaller than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of quality of life in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Emergency risk management can effectively control blood glucose fluctuations and improve nursing satisfaction and quality of life in the treatment of diabetic with hyperosmolar coma with patients.
