Objective To analyze the effect of refined nursing intervention on the prognosis of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods A total of 100 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus admitted to the depart-ment of Geriatrics,Tai'an 88 Hospital from January to December 2023 were selected as the research objects.Accord-ing to different nursing methods,50 patients in the control group were treated with routine nursing,and 50 patients in the observation group were treated with refined nursing strategy.The health behavior(exercise,medication compli-ance,blood glucose monitoring and diet control),self-efficacy(self-concept,self-care skills,sense of responsibility and health knowledge level),blood glucose index(fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postprandial plasma glucose,gly-cated hemoglobin A1c)were compared between the two groups.Results After nursing,the self-efficacy score,health behavior score and blood glucose index of the observation group were better than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of refined nursing in elderly pa-tients with type 2 diabetes has a significant effect,which can improve their self-management ability and regulate the level of blood glucose indicators.
