Objective To study the effect of Yiqi Yangyin Huayu method on blood glucose level and inflammation in patients with diabetic retinopathy.Methods A total of 90 patients with diabetic retinopathy admitted to Feicheng Hos-pital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects.Ac-cording to different treatment methods,they were divided into treatment group and control group,46 cases and 44 cases respectively.The control group was treated with calcium dobesilate,and the treatment group was treated with Yiqi Yangyin Huayu method on the basis of the control group.The Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome scores(dim vision,dry eyes,soreness and weakness of waist and knees,fatigue,five upset heat,dry mouth and throat,tinni-tus,total scores),plasma glucose levels(fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postprandial plasma glucose,glycated hemo-globin A1c),inflammatory factors(interleukin-18,tumor necrosis factor-α,high sensitivity C-reactive protein)and ef-ficacy were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the scores of Traditional Chinese Medicine syndromes in the treatment group were better than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(all P<0.05).After treatment,the blood glucose levels of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the treatment group was lower than the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of inflammatory factors in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and those in the treatment group were lower than the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(P<0.05).Conclusion Yiqi Yangyin Huayu method can relieve the symptoms of patients with diabetic retinopa-thy,reduce the levels of blood glucose and inflammatory factors,and improve the visual acuity of patients.
