Objective To explore the risk factors and intervention measures of severe hypoglycemia in diabetic pa-tients.Methods The clinical data of 47 diabetic patients with severe hypoglycemia admitted to Tiantai People's Hospi-tal from January 2020 to March 2023 were retrospectively selected as the observation group, and the clinical data of 47 diabetic patients without hypoglycemia were selected as the control group. The clinical data of the two groups were compared, and the risk factors and intervention strategies of severe hypoglycemia were analyzed. Results Multi-variate Logistic regression analysis showed that age and urinary microalbuminu were risk factors for severe hypogly-cemia(OR=1.235,1.008,both P<0.05),and body mass index was a protective factor for severe hypoglycemia(OR=0.696,P<0.05).Conclusion Age,body mass index and urinary microalbumin are the influencing factors of severe hy-poglycemia in diabetic patients. In clinical management,a balance should be achieved between improving hyperglyce-mia and reducing the risk of hypoglycemia, and countermeasures should be formulated for the risk factors of severe hy-poglycemia to reduce hypoglycemia and avoid the occurrence of severe hypoglycemia.
