Objective To analyze the therapeutic effect of metformin combined with Bailing Capsule in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy.Methods A total of 66 patients with diabetic nephropathy admitted to Zaozhuang Dermatol-ogy and Venereal Disease Prevention and Control Hospital from August 2022 to August 2023 were selected as the re-search objects.According to different treatment methods,they were divided into two groups,33 cases in each group.The control group was treated with metformin,and the observation group was treated with metformin combined with Bailing Capsule.The effective rate of treatment,blood glucose indexes(fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose,glycated hemoglobin A1c,insulin resistance index),renal function indexes(24 h urinary protein excre-tion rate,serum creatinine,blood urea nitrogen)were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment of the observation group was 93.94%(31/33),which was higher than 72.73%(24/33)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.345,P=0.020).The blood glucose related indexes and re-nal function indexes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were sta-tistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of metformin combined with Bailing Capsule in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy is better than that of metformin alone,and the clinical application value is high.
