Clinical Application Value of Fasting Plasma Glucose,Glycated Hemoglo-bin A1c and Serum Ferritin in Predicting Gestational Diabetes Mellitus in Early Pregnancy
Objective To investigate the clinical value of fasting plasma glucose(FPG),glycated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)and serum ferritin(SF)in predicting the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)in early pregnancy. Methods The clinical data of 217 patients with gestational diabetes mellitus diagnosed by oral glucose tolerance test in Kunshan Maternal and Child Health Care Center from January 2020 to December 2023 were retrospectively se-lected as the study group, and the clinical data of 216 pregnant women with normal blood glucose during the same pe-riod were selected as the control group.FPG,HbA1c and SF were measured before 12+6 weeks of pregnancy in both groups. The levels of FPG,HbA1c and SF in early pregnancy were compared between the two groups. The receiver op-erating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the predictive value of FPG,HbA1c and SF for GDM.Results The levels of FPG,HbA1c and SF in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the combined detection curve was 0.931(95%CI:0.908~0.954),the specificity was 89.89%,and the sensitivity was 82.91%.Conclusion The increase of FPG,HbA1c and SF levels in early pregnancy is significantly associated with the occurrence of GDM,and the combined detection has a good predictive value for GDM.
