Objective To explore the effect of standardized nursing on blood glucose index and satisfaction of elderly patients with prostate and diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 92 elderly patients with prostate and diabetes melli-tus admitted to Lingcheng District People's Hospital of Dezhou City from June 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the research objects.According to different nursing methods, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 46 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing intervention, while the observation group was given standardized nursing intervention. The blood glucose indexes(fasting blood glucose,2-hour postpran-dial blood glucose),psychological and emotional(anxiety, depression)scores, complication(postoperative infection, poor wound healing, lower extremity deep vein thrombosis)rate and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the blood glucose indexes of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).Conclusion Standardized nursing for elderly patients with prostate and diabetes mellitus is condu-cive to strengthening the improvement of blood glucose indicators, alleviating negative emotions, reducing the inci-dence of complications, and providing patients with higher satisfaction nursing services.
