Objective To explore the application value of multidisciplinary team(MDT)continuous nursing in patients with diabetic retinopathy(DR).Methods A total of 90 patients with DR admitted to Jinan Second People's Hospital from April 2021 to April 2023 were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to differ-ent nursing methods, with 45 cases in each group. The control group received routine discharge nursing, and the obser-vation group received continuous nursing based on MDT on the basis of the control group. The scores of self-care abil-ity(diet control, medication compliance, blood glucose monitoring, regular exercise, foot care, prevention and treat-ment of hyperglycemia)and blood glucose index[2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2 hPBG),fasting blood glucose(FBG),glycated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)]and quality of life scores(environment, social relations,physiology,psy-chology)were compared between the two groups. Results Six months after discharge, the scores of self-care ability in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the 2 hPBG,FBG and HbA1c in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the scores of quality of life in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion To carry out con-tinuous nursing based on MDT for DR patients, improve self-care ability, promote patients to follow diet, medication, monitoring, exercise, prevention and other behaviors, effectively control blood glucose and improve quality of life.
