Effects of Intravitreal Injection of Conbercept Combined with Metformin and Triamcinolone Acetonide Injection on BCVA and Blood Glucose Lev-els in Patients with Diabetes Retinopathy
Objective The effects of intravitreal injection of conbercept combined with metformin and triamcinolone acetonide injection on best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)and blood glucose levels in patients with diabetic retinopa-thy(DR).Methods A total of 92 patients with DR admitted to Rizhao Central Hospital from May 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the research objects and divided into two groups according to different treatment methods,with 46 cases in each group.The control group was treated with metformin and triamcinolone acetonide injection,and the observation group was treated combined with intravitreal injection of conbercept on the basis of the control group.BCVA,blood glucose levels(fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose,glycated hemoglobin A1c),vas-cular growth factor(vascular endothelial growth factor-A,vascular endothelial growth factor-B),adverse reactions(nausea and vomiting,insomnia,increased intraocular pressure,conjunctival congestion)were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the levels of fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose and gly-cated hemoglobin A1c in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment,the BCVA of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the levels of vascular endothelial growth factor-A and vascular endothelial growth factor-B were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Intravitreal injection of Conber-cept combined with metformin and triamcinolone acetonide injection can improve the visual acuity and vascular growth factor of DR patients,and reduce blood glucose levels.
