Objective To explore the effect of family-centered case nursing combined with lifestyle intensive interven-tion on blood glucose control in children with type 1 diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 82 children with type 1 dia-betes mellitus admitted to Liaocheng Dongchangfu District Maternal and Child Health Hospital from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to different nursing methods, with 41 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given family centered case nursing combined with lifestyle intensive intervention for 3 months. The blood glucose levels, quality of life scores, and caregiver burden scores were compared between the two groups. Results After 3 months of interven-tion,the levels of fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postprandial plasma glucose and glycated hemoglobin A1c in the ob-servation group were lower than those in the control group, the quality of life score was higher than that in the control group, and the caregiver burden score was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Family centered case nursing combined with lifestyle intensive intervention can improve the blood glucose control effect and quality of life of children with type 1 diabetes mellitus, and reduce the burden of care.
