Objective To analyze the correlation between glycated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)and fasting plasma glu-cose(FPG)and blood lipids in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 84 patients with type 2 dia-betes mellitus admitted to Huainan Yangguang Xinkang Hospital from January 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the research objects. All patients received HbA1c test.According to the test results, the patients were divided into group A(28 cases,HbA1c<7.0%),group B(26 cases,HbA1c 7.0%-9.0%),and group C(30 cases,HbA1c>9.0%).The levels of FPG and blood lipids were compared among the three groups, and the correlation between HbA1c and FPG and blood lipids in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus was analyzed. Results The level of FPG in group C was higher than that in groups B and A,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the levels of high density lipoprotein cholesterol among 3 groups(P>0.05).The levels of triglyceride,to-tal cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol in group C were higher than those in groups B and A,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The levels of HbA1c were positively correlated with FPG,triglyc-eride,total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(all P<0.05).Conclusion There is a close correlation be-tween HbA1c and FPG and blood lipid level in patients of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
