Effect of Intensive Insulin Therapy and the Effect on Blood Glucose Level in Patients with Diabetes Mellitus Complicated with Acute Cerebral Infarc-tion
Objective To analyze the efficacy of intensive insulin therapy in patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cerebral infarction. Methods The clinical data of 102 patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cerebral infarction admitted to the Longyan First Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University from June 2022 to De-cember 2023 were retrospectively selected and divided into two groups according to different treatment methods, with 51 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional therapy, and the study group was treated with inten-sive insulin therapy. The clinical efficacy, blood glucose levels, islet function were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statisti-cally significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the fasting blood glucose and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose levels of the study group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Af-ter treatment, the fasting insulin and insulin resistance index of the study group were lower than those of the control group, and the islet β cell function index was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Intensive insulin therapy in patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cere-bral infarction can reduce blood glucose level, improve islet function, and improve clinical efficacy.
