Objective To explore the application effect of intervention mode based on clinical nursing pathway in el-derly patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with gallstones.Methods From April 2021 to May 2023,a total of 94 elderly patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with gallstones admitted to the Department of Hepatobiliary Sur-gery of Anqiu People's Hospital were selected as the research objects.They were divided into two groups according to different nursing methods,47 cases in each group.The control group was treated with routine nursing methods,and the observation group was combined with the intervention mode based on the clinical nursing pathway.Both groups completed 4 weeks of nursing.The blood glucose levels,self-management level and satisfaction were compared be-tween the two groups.Results After intervention,the levels of fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glu-cose and glycated hemoglobin A1c in the two groups were lower than those before intervention,and those in the obser-vation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After intervention,the self-management levels of the two groups were higher than those before intervention,and those of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statis-tically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The intervention model based on clinical nursing pathway can effectively re-duce the blood glucose level of elderly diabetic patients,effectively alleviate the local pain caused by gallstones,and the patient's self-management level and satisfaction are high.
