Objective To observe the effect of root cause analysis on adverse events, negative emotions and satisfac-tion of hemodialysis patients with diabetic nephropathy. Methods The clinical data of 76 patients with diabetic ne-phropathy who underwent hemodialysis in Shandong Guoxin Yiyang Group Zaozhuang Central Hospital from January 2021 to July 2023 were retrospectively selected.According to the different nursing methods, they were divided into ob-servation group and control group,38 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the obser-vation group was given root cause analysis on the basis of the control group. The incidence of adverse events, negative emotion scores(Self-rating Anxiety Scale,Self-rating Depression Scale)and nursing satisfaction were compared be-tween the two groups. Results After intervention, the incidence of adverse events in the observation group was 2.63%(1/38),which was lower than 18.42%(7/38)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.537,P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale and Self-rating Depression Scale in the ob-servation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statis-tically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Root cause analysis intervention can reduce the incidence of adverse events, improve patients'bad mood, and improve their'nursing satisfaction.
