Objective To explore the effect of warm acupuncture combined with acupoint catgut embedding in pa-tients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy during treatment. Methods A total of 106 patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy admitted to the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine,Lingcheng District People's Hospital of Dezhou City,Shandong Province from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into control group and observation group according to different treatment methods, with 53 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine treatment, and the observation group was treated with warm acupuncture combined with acu-point embedding. The nerve conduction velocity[sensory nerve conduction velocity(SCV)of common peroneal nerve, motion conduction velocity(MCV)of common peroneal nerve,MCV of median nerve,SCV of median nerve],hemody-namics(whole blood viscosity, plasma specific viscosity, fibrinogen),traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,in-cidence of adverse reactions and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results The nerve conduc-tion velocities of the observation group were higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The hemodynamic indexes of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the con-trol group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Warm acupuncture combined with acu-point catgut embedding therapy for diabetic peripheral neuropathy can improve the nerve conduction velocity of pa-tients,improve their hemodynamic indexes, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, and improve the effective rate of treatment.
