Clinical Study on Mingmu Dihuang Pills Combined with Calcium Hy-droxybenzenesulfonate in Elderly Patients with Diabetic Retinopathy with Deficiency of Liver and Kidney Yin
Objective To analyze the clinical effect and safety of Mingmu Dihuang Pills combined with calcium hy-droxybenzenesulfonate in the treatment of elderly patients with diabetic retinopathy(DR)of liver-kidney yin defi-ciency type.Methods The clinical data of 84 elderly patients with DR Admitted to Nanjing Central Hospital from Oc-tober 2021 to March 2024 were retrospectively selected.According to the different treatment regimens,the patients were divided into control group and observation group,with 42 cases in each group.The control group was treated with calcium hydroxybenzenesulfonate capsule,and the observation group was treated with Mingmu Dihuang pill on the ba-sis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome score,visual acuity and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treat-ment,the Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the visual acuity level was higher than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(both P<0.05).After treatment,no obvious adverse reactions were observed in the two groups.Conclusion Mingmu Dihuang Pills combined with calcium hydroxybenzenesulfonate oral treatment can effectively improve the reti-nopathy of elderly patients with liver-kidney yin deficiency type diabetes,and has high safety.
