The incidence of diabetes is increasing year by year.Chronic complications of type 2 diabetes mellitus of-ten cause neurological damage and affect the daily life of patients.Over the years,studies on uric acid levels have found that uric acid has a certain relationship with metabolic diseases such as diabetes,and uric acid is associated with inflammation,oxidative stress,microvascular changes,nerve degradation and regeneration in the pathogenesis of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.This article reviews the correlation between the two.
