Objective To evaluate the effect of insulin degludec in the treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus using con-tinuous blood glucose monitoring(CGM).Methods A total of 100 patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus admitted to Zhangdian District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Zibo from March 2023 to March 2024 were selected as the research objects.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into glargine group and degludec group, with 50 cases in each group. The glargine group was treated with insulin glargine, and the degludec group was treated with insulin degludec. The blood glucose indexes, outcome, treatment effect and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the levels of fasting plasma glucose,2-hour post-prandial plasma glucose and glycated hemoglobin A1c in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the degludec group were lower than those in the glargine group, and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).The mean blood glucose fluctuation range, mean absolute difference of daytime blood glucose,stan-dard deviation of blood glucose, mean blood glucose and coefficient of variation of blood glucose in the degludec group were lower than those in the glargine group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The total ef-fective rate of treatment in the degludec group was higher than that of the glargine group, and the difference was statis-tically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the degludec group was lower than that in the glargine group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Insulin degludec has a more sig-nificant effect in blood glucose regulation, which can reduce the incidence of hypoglycemia, reduce the coefficient of variation of blood glucose, and improve the prognosis of type 1 diabetes mellitus.
