Objective To analyze the effect of intravitreal injection of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)on choroidal thickness in patients with diabetic macular edema(DME).Methods A total of 82 DME patients admitted to Quanzhou First Hospital from August 2022 to August 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into two groups according to the different treatment methods, with 41 cases in each group. The control group was treated with laser photocoagulation, and the observation group was treated with intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF on the basis of the control group. The subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT),best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),central foveal thick-ness(CFT)and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment,SFCT and CFT in the observation group were thinner than that in the control group, and BCVA in the observation group was better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant dif-ference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Intravitreous injec-tion of anti-VEGF in DME patients has a considerable effect, which can improve SFCT,CFT and other indicators,ac-celerate the optimization of visual acuity level, and effectively prevent the occurrence of adverse reactions.
