Diabetic microangiopathy is a common and serious complication of diabetes mellitus,which poses a great threat to the health of patients.MicroRNA(miRNA),as an important gene expression regulation molecule,plays a key role in the occurrence and development of diabetic microangiopathy.In this review,the research progress of miRNA and diabetic microangiopathopathy(including diabetic nephropathy,diabetic retinopathy and diabetic peripheral neu-ropathy)was reviewed,and the potential of miRNA as a diagnostic marker and therapeutic target was discussed,pro-viding new ideas for the study and treatment of diabetic microangiopathopathy.
