Effect of Cefoperazone Sodium and Sulbactam Sodium Combined with Acarbose on Immune Function in Elderly Patients with Diabetes Mellitus Complicated with Pulmonary Infection
Objective To explore the effect of cefoperazone sodium and sulbactam sodium combined with acarbose in elderly patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with pulmonary infection. Methods The clinical data of 106 pa-tients with diabetes mellitus complicated with pulmonary infection admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from January 2023 to April 2024 were retrospectively selected.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into two groups,53 cases in each group. The control group was treated with cefoperazone sodium and sulbactam sodium combined with metformin, and the study group was treated with cefoperazone sodium and sul-bactam sodium combined with acarbose. The blood glucose level, lung function, immune function and inflammatory re-sponse were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the levels of fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin A1c in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of forced vital capacity, forced expiratory volume in the first second, and forced expiratory volume in the first second/forced vital capacity in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment,CD3+and CD4+in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and CD8+was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the lev-els of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein,interleukin-13,interleukin-6 and procalcitonin in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The use of cefoperazone sodium and sulbactam sodium combined with acarbose in elderly patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with pulmonary infection can reduce blood glucose levels, improve lung function and immune function, and reduce the level of inflammatory factors.
