Objective To analyze the effect of perioperative high-quality nursing on patients with diabetes mellitus(DM)complicated with colon cancer.Methods A total of 60 DM patients complicated with colon cancer admitted to the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery of Weifang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into the traditional group of 30 cases(perioperative routine nursing)and the observation group of 30 cases(perioperative high-quality nursing)according to different nursing methods.The blood glucose level,psychological state and quality of life of the two groups were compared.Results Af-ter nursing,the levels of fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin A1c in the observation group were lower than those in the traditional group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After nursing,the anxiety and depression scores of the observation group were lower than those of the traditional group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).After nursing,the scores of quality of life in the observation group were higher than those in the traditional group,and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Perioperative high-quality nursing intervention for DM patients complicated with co-lon cancer can improve the effect of blood glucose regulation,improve the quality of life and mental state of patients during perioperative period,and accelerate the postoperative rehabilitation process of patients.
