Objective To analyze the clinical effect of Shenqi Maiwei Dihuang Decoction and acupuncture and moxi-bustion on type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients with deficiency of both qi and yin.Methods From January 2023 to June 2024,98 patients with T2DM of qi and yin deficiency type admitted to the Department of Rehabilitation Medi-cine of Huian County Hospital were selected and divided into two groups according to different treatment methods,49 cases in each group.All patients were treated with conventional western medicine.On this basis,the control group was treated with acupuncture and moxibustion,and the study group was treated with Shenqi Maiwei Dihuang Decoc-tion combined with acupuncture and moxibustion.The blood glucose index,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin A1c in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of five upset fever,fatigue,dry throat and dry mouth,shortness of breath and laziness to speak in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no sig-nificant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Shenqi Maiwei Dihuang Decoction combined with acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of T2DM patients with deficiency of both qi and yin has an ideal hypoglycemic effect,which can reduce their discomfort symptoms,and will not increase the risk of adverse reactions,with high safety.
