Objective To investigate the diagnostic efficacy of serum β2-microglobulin(β2-MG)and microalbumin-uria(mALB)in diabetic nephropathy(DN).Methods A total of 120 patients with suspected DN admitted to Heze Sixth People's Hospital from June 2023 to March 2024 were selected. All patients received serum β2-MG and mALB tests. The results of renal biopsy were used as the gold standard to compare the diagnostic efficacy of serum β2-MG and mALB single index text and combined test for DN,as well as the diagnostic coincidence rate for different DN stages. Results There were 58 cases of DN and 62 cases of simple type 2 diabetes mellitus were diagnosed by renal bi-opsy,including 59 cases of positive serum β2-MG test,61 cases of positive mALB test, and 59 cases of positive se-rum β2-MG combined with mALB test. The specificity, sensitivity and accuracy of serum β2-MG combined with mALB in the diagnosis of DN were higher than those of single serum β2-MG and mALB,and the differences were sta-tistically significant(all P<0.05).The coincidence rate of serum β2-MG combined with mALB in the diagnosis of stage III DN was higher than that of single serum β2-MG and mALB,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the coincidence rate of serum β2-MG combined with mALB in the di-agnosis of stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅳ and Ⅴ DN compared with single serum β2-MG and mALB(all P>0.05).Conclusion Se-rum β2-MG and mALB have a high diagnostic efficiency for DN,especially the diagnostic coincidence rate of stageⅢ DN is higher, which provides important reference information for clinical follow-up diagnosis and treatment.
