Objective To analyze the effect of lixisenatide and dapagliflozin in the clinical treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 90 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus admitted to Yihe New District Xianggong Central Hospital from February 2023 to February 2024 were selected as the research objects.According to the different treatment methods, they were divided into reference group and study group,45 cases in each group. The reference group was treated with dapagliflozin, and the study group was treated with lixisenatide+dapagliflozin. The clinical efficacy, blood glucose levels, islet function index levels, and incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was higher than that in the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment, the levels of fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin A1c in the two groups decreased after treatment, and those in the study group were lower than the reference group, the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).Compared with before treatment, the insulin resistance index of the two groups decreased after treat-ment,and the islet β cell function index increased, and the study group was better than the reference group, the differ-ences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was lower than that in the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, the combination of lixisenatide and dapagliflozin can effectively improve the patient's blood glu-cose levels, islet function, improve clinical efficacy.
