Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of dapagliflozin in the treatment of patients with type 2 dia-betes mellitus complicated with congestive heart failure.Methods A total of 70 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with congestive heart failure admitted to Guanyun County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April 2023 to March 2024 were selected as the research objects.According to different treatment schemes,they were divided into control group(n=33)and observation group(n=37).The control group was treated with routine treatment,and the observation group was treated with dapagliflozin on the basis of the control group.The clinical treatment ef-fect,blood glucose levels and cardiac function related indexes of the two groups were compared.Results The effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose and gly-cated hemoglobin A1c in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The left ventricular ejection fraction and cardiac output in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide was lower than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with congestive heart failure,dapagliflozin can improve the blood glucose level and car-diac function of patients,and has high safety and significant therapeutic effect.
