Objective To explore the application value of high-quality intervention in insulin injection of the treat-ment of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)in the elderly.Methods The clinical data of 90 elderly patients with T2DM admitted to Guizhou Qiannan People's Hospital from May 2023 to April 2024 was retrospectively selected and divided into two groups according to different nursing methods,with 45 cases in each group.The control group was given rou-tine nursing intervention,and the observation group was given high-quality intervention on the basis of the control group.The blood glucose indexes and knowledge-attitude-practice performance of the two groups were compared.Results The fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postprandial plasma glucose and glycated hemoglobin A1c in the observa-tion group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The scores of knowledge,belief,behavior and total score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion During the treatment of insulin injec-tion in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus,high-quality intervention is conducive to reducing blood glucose levels,and has a positive impact on the improvement of patients'knowledge,belief and behavior.
