Objective To explore the clinical value of combining blood glucose test and urine glucose test in the diag-nosis of diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 84 suspected diabetic patients admitted to Beijing Hospital of Inte-grated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from February 2023 to June 2024 were selected as the study sub-jects.All patients underwent blood glucose test, urine glucose test and combined diagnosis.Glucose tolerance test was used as the gold standard to explore the clinical value of combined diagnosis of blood glucose test and urine glucose test in diabetes mellitus. Results The glucose tolerance test showed that 62 cases were positive and 22 cases were negative. There were 58 true positive cases and 20 true negative cases in blood glucose test,53 true positive cases and 18 true negative cases in urine glucose test,61 true positive cases and 21 true negative cases in combined diagnosis. The accuracy, sensitivity, specificity and negative prediction of combined diagnosis were higher than those of blood glucose test and urine glucose test, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no signifi-cant difference in positive predictive value between combined diagnosis and single diagnosis(P>0.05).Conclusion The combined diagnosis of blood glucose test and urine glucose test in diabetes mellitus has high efficacy and high consistency with glucose tolerance test.In clinical practice,it should be combined with the results of blood glucose test and urine glucose test and other comprehensive factors to further improve the treatment and prognosis of patients.
